SWPPG Holds Regional Meeting in Columbia

The Social Welfare Policy and Practice Group hosted a regional get together on the University of South Carolina  Campus. for policy faculty and interested social workers on Friday, September 10.The purpose of the meeting was to discuss voting and how to get social work students involved in the election.  Speakers included Dave Dempsey, NASW Government Relations Director and Leon Ginsberg, USC Dean. Faculty from North and South Carolina attended the event, along with policy minded social workers. There was a spirited discussion about the importance of the election and how  we, as social workers, can contribute. Join SWPPG!
